Faster, Pussycat! Sing! Sing!
Attack of the B-Movie Cabaret

musical direction by Dana Haynes
direction by John Ficarra
presented by HoNkBarK! Productions

June 4th at 8:15p & 6th at 8:30p and 11p, 2009
at Don't Tell Mama's, 343 W. 46th Street (btw 8th & 9th Aves.)

Ladies and gentlemen, this may be your one and only chance to hear the song “Black Klansman”, from the 1966 film The Black Klansman, sung live by a white woman. In fact, Faster, Pussycat! Sing! Sing! may be the only cabaret in history with enough she-balls to tackle the untapped musical hilarity that is the B-Movie genre.

You’ll thrill to the theme song from Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, take a trip to Xanadu, tremble in the face of The Evil Dead and ultimately succumb to Reefer Madness. Everyone from John Waters to Dolly Parton to the Phantom of the Paradise make an appearance in this paean to bad taste and questionable morals. You might even find yourself Beyond the Valley of the Dolls and engulfed in Green Slime!

Hosting the ceremonies will be John Ficarra, whose genial cheesiness and death-defying facial hair reminds one of a taller, less wealthy Bruce Campbell. His droll commentary, blithe sadism and absurd sense of humor always conspire to please. Rounding out the crew is Dana Haynes, musical director and accompanist extraordinaire.

And don’t miss the Faster, Pussycat! Sing! Sing! late night showing at 11pm on Saturday night! We’ll turn up the heat with a special B-Movie audience quiz – the winner will be treated to a free drink and a group lap dance from the ladies of HoNkBarK! Meeeeeeeeowww!
